The last day of July sees the release of the movie that has created a buzz from the day its first stills were seen! Obviously we are referring to Saif Ali Khan’s first production, under his banner, Illuminati Films, the Imtiaz Ali directed `Love Aaj Kal`. Given the chartbusting music, the superb promotion and being from the director who made `Jab We Met`, the film is expected to embark on a flying start, more so in the cities and at good cinemas. |

Last week’s major release, Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd’s Soham Shah directed Mithun, Dutt, Imran, Shruti and Danny starrer `Luck`, which was expected to take good start, disappointed one and all with its mixed opening. At an all India level the opening was not up to the mark at most of the places though encouraging in single-screen cinemas. Trade feels that the 40 crore `Luck` will need tons of luck to reach even the average mark. The film has also been rejected in the Overseas.

Not surprisingly Pankaj Advani’s `Sankat City` improves its collections in the second week, especially in Bombay. The film is on a very steady run, falling by just about 33 percent in the second week, as compared to the first. Taking into account its low associated costs, `Sankat City` has the potential to improve its status further.
