This second ABCL production, described as "A love story written in the stars", is directed by Sachin, and has a new star cast (Mukul Dev, Sucheta Pawse and Supriya). There are six songs on the cassette, all of them well written, composed and rendered.

The first track is the title song sung by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. The song has already climbed into top 25 list.

The second song "Tere honthon pe", is sung by Sadhna Sargam and Sachin. Unlike, some other songs where actors get credit for just saying few lines, Sachin has actually sung the second paragraph of the song quite well. His voice resembles that of Jaspal Singh, who sang for Sachin in such movies as "Geet Gata Chal" and "Ankhiyon Ke Jharokon Se" (both Rajshri movies with music by Ravindra Jain).

The third song "Yun to nazarbaaz toone, ki hain nazarbaaziyan", is a fast song sung by Kumar Sanu and Poornima.

The B-side starts with a 60's style song "Jawan jawan yeh tan badan" sung by Abhijeet and Poornima. It reminds of Kishore-Asha duets.

The second song is a foot taping, dancing number with strange wordings "Chikilaki chikilaki chumbi" and "ye ladka to hai yaar bada hi lappu chhanna". It is sung by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik, in a very lively fashion.

The last song has a typical Anand-Milind "Bhojpuri" tune. "Laga nazariya ka dhakka balam Calcutta pahoonch gaye" is sung by Vinod Rathod and Sadhna Sargam.

With "Naam Kya Hai", ABCL has continued with producing a movie with clean, nice songs. Majrooh Sultanpuri has penned good lyrics and Anand Milind have composed catchy tunes which are different from their usual style, proving that lyricists and music directors can rise to the occasion if producers and directors demand good quality work.
