The 'paan' chewing anthem , 'Khai Ke Paan Banaras Wala' , from the 1977 Amitabh-Zeenat starrer 'Don' , features once again in Farhan Akhtar's 2006 version , where Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra essay the main lead .

However, playback singer Sonu Nigam , who loved to dance to the song as a child , lost out to his senior Udit Narayan , who will croon to the Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy version . But much to the credit of Sonu who says that - " With his(Udit) North Indian background he's the right person to do it."
