Director Nagesh Kukunoor, who impressed one and all with his 'Hyderabad Blues', 'Iqbal' and 'Dor', is ready with his next, 'Bombay To Bangkok'. We all know that 'BTB' will be Shreyas's third film with Nagesh, the first two being 'Iqbal' and 'Dor', and that it features Thai model and actress Lina Christianson. But what many will not know is that the film has been delayed by four months as Nagesh got busy with the Akshay Kumar starrer, '8 x 10' (earlier 'Tasveer'). However, that does not bother the talented director much because 'Bombay To Bangkok' still looks fresh and quite interesting.
The film that Nagesh describes as a 'whacky comedy', has many interesting anecdotes connected with it. Not only was the movie actually shot on the tarmac of the Bangkok airport, but what is really surprising is that there are real cops from the East Asian country, essaying the role of the law enforcers. As per Nagesh, he had hired the services of real policemen who used to shoot for his film after their duty hours. They were very cooperative and enthusiastic and gave the scenes an authentic look. The film made at a modest budget of 8 crores, is this week's major release, along with the Irrfan Khan starrer, 'Tulsi'.
