Vicky Kaushal shoots Zubaan at his ancestral home in Hoshiarpur

Apparently, director Mozez wanted to shoot the movie at some place in North India and was figuring out the location. That is when Vicky suggested him to shoot at his ancestral place in Hoshiarpur. After doing a recce, Mozez agreed to shoot the movie at Vicky's place and the crew also stayed at his place for the entire Hoshiarpur schedule.

Mozez Singh says, "Since the protagonist is based in Punjab, I was going through locations in North India. In fact, the production had shortlisted couple of places, and that is when Vicky casually mentioned to me about his ancestral home in Hoshiarpur. When I heard that, I told him that we were actually looking forward to shoot in a place like that and then we shot in Pathankot, Qila Raipur and Gurdaspur. For Vicky it was fun shooting the movie in these places as it brought back childhood memories for him."
