- Planet Bollywood Special Correspondant           Let us know what you think about this story

Yami Gautam will be tracing her roots with her upcoming release, Sanam Re. Directed by Divya Khosla Kumar and co starring Pulkit Samrat, the movie has been in the news for the scenic locales that have been captured and depicted beautifully in the trailer. This marks Divya's second directorial venture after the super successful Yaariyan which was her debut.

Sanam Re has been shot in Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh. However, what is not known is that Yami Gautam was born in Himachal Pradesh (and raised in Chandigarh). Therefore, the shooting of this soulful love story was extremely nostalgic for the actor.

Speaking on the same, she said that, "I was super excited to know that we were going to shoot in Himachal ! Felt very nostalgic & special to be shooting where my roots belong to .And Divya Maam has done absolute justice to the scenic beauty of Himachal the way she has captured it."

She also added that apart from its raw untapped beauty, Himachal Pradesh has also given Bollywood a star like Kangana Ranaut who hails from the state. "Kangana has done the entire state so proud and its heart warming and inspiring to see the same. There is so much in Himachal to explore and I wish more and more people visit the same, you will surely want to after you see Sanam Re."
