His 'Aatma' is scaring the living daylights out of Bipasha Basu, but the lady luck seems to be on his side! We are obviously referring to actor par excellence, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, whose Suparn Verma directed, 'Aatma', is all set to release in 3 days, and man of the moment is being showered with awards!
What is more creditable is the fact that Nawazuddin Siddiqui won the Best Supporting Actor against prominent names from Asia like HA Jung-woo for 'Nameless Gangster: Rule of the Time' (South Korea), Kase Ryo for 'Like Someone in Love' (Japan/France/Iran), Chapman TO for 'Diva' (Mainland China/Hong Kong) and Rhydian Vaughan for 'GF*BF' (Taiwan). The timing of the two awards augurs well for the already in the news 'Aatma' In fact when we asked Nawaz the reason for signing a film like 'Aatma' he had told us, ''Actually it was the emotional angle (rather than horror!), especially the touching father-daughter relationship that made me say 'yes' to the project immediately. Since I am also the father of a girl child (in real life!), I could easily relate to the story and my character in 'Aatma'.'' We wish the best for the master actor!
