The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee presented the Padma Shri Award to Sanjay Leela Bhansali at the glittering Civil Investiture ceremony on March 30, at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali, was among the 75 named for the high order of the Padma Shri, when the official list of the Padma awards were announced on Jan 26, on the occasion of Republic Day.

The country bestowed India's fourth highest civilian award on Bhansali, honoring his contribution to Indian cinema that showcases grandeur and originality and his knack of storytelling.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is one of the country's biggest filmmakers and successful producer, known to deliver films rich in content and high on entertainment, a visual spectacle captured on celluloid.
