Shah Rukh Khan was detained at the New York White Plane Airport for over two hours.

The actor had flown to NYC to address the Yale University students. SRK had arrived in New York on a private plane on Thursday to deliver a lecture at Yale University.

As may be recalled Shah Rukh Khan, who has been named a Chubb Fellow, one of the Ivy League institution's highest honours, on April 12 for promoting human ideals through art, was accompanied by Neeta Ambani.

However, despite the rest of the passengers being cleared without a hitch, Shah Rukh Khan was detained, which led to the university officials contacting the Department of Homeland Security and the Immigration and Customs Department at Washington, about his detention.

As per the officials, Khan was stopped for two hours for his immigration clearance.

This is the second time that SRK has been detained in US. In 2009 roo he was stopped at the Newark Airport for questioning.
