Nidhi Dutta, the daughter of JP Dutta and Bindiya Goswami Dutta, will make her acting debut this year with Jee Bhar Ke Jee Le alongside Nafisa Ali’s son Ajit Sodhi. The film will be produced by JP Dutta and directed by Binod Gandhi.

The young talented actress, who always wished to become an actor, decided to don grease paint after a good offer from Bollywood knocked her doors. But for those who think Nidhi had a red carpet welcome in Bollywood, that’s not true.

Being JP Dutta’s daughter, Nidhi didn’t want things to come easy to her. However, no matter how challenging the situation is, the actress admits she is proud to be his daughter and says she has learnt a lot from him. The gorgeous actress had assisted her father on Umrao Jaan from whom she learnt the nuances of filmmaking. While working on the period drama, Nidhi was quite mesmerised by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s acting prowess.

“It’s not easy being a star kid. Everyone has their own struggle. It is easier to join (the industry) and people look at you differently, but then they also come with their own baggage of comparisons,” Nidhi said.

“Even after you enter Bollywood, it’s important you retain your position and make a niche for yourself which is not easy. I’m hoping to have a long way ahead,” she added.
