Mahesh Bhatt's 1990 super hit musical, 'Aashiqui', has assumed cult following over the years. And so the sequel 'Aashiqui 2' was a keenly awaited project.

As is known a lot of auditioning took place for the film, and it was assumed that super talented newcomers would be chosen.

However, all the efforts seemed to be a formality and it is scion of the UTV family, Aditya Roy Kapur, who has been chosen to essay the male lead in the Mohit Suri directed film from the Bhatt camp!
