Director David Dhawan’s cute and talented son, Varun Dhawan, made a great debut with Karan Johar’s ‘Student Of The Year’. But that was not all!
The actor has had an enviable success record with all his following films (‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’, ‘Main Tera Hero’ & ‘Badlapur’) scoring at the box-office.
In fact, his last release, ‘Badlapur’, saw him essay an unconventional role, where Varun, in a revengeful mood, indulged in all sorts of unthinkable and deplorable acts, but ended up wowing one and all with a superlative performance. And that too against an actor of the calibre of Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
While that is past, Varun Dhawan’s upcoming release, Remo Fernandez’s ‘ABCD-Any Body Can Dance 2’ is all set to open to a good if not great response in many circuits of India. The 3D format (wherever available) is likely to fare even better. The reasons are listed below.
First and foremost, the music of ‘ABCD 2’ by Sachin-Jigar is very good and has gained wide popularity. Secondly, the young star cast of Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor (and also dancing sensation Prabhu Dheva) have a good fan following. Thirdly, brand ‘ABCD’ is quite popular amongst the kids and youth and has a fine recall value. And of course, it is also available in 3D version, which is quite popular.
‘ABCD 2’ is all set to hit the cinemas worldwide this Friday and sure to continue Varun Dhawan’s winning streak at the turnstile.
