Madhavan's Irudhi Suttru screened at the Tokyo International Film Festival

On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, R Madhavan whisked his family off to Japan to attend the coveted Tokyo International Film Festival.

The Tamil version of R Madhavan's Saala Khadoos titled Irudhi Suttru was screened at the prestigious international film festival and the movie was met with a fabulous response from the people and the media, who couldn't stop praising Madhavan's stupendous performance in the film.

Madhavan's fans were quite excited to meet and interact with him as he arrived at the festival. Surprisingly, the fans even wrote to him on the social networking sites including Twitter and Facebook and welcomed the actor to their hometown, Japan.

A source says, "The moment Madhavan arrived at the venue, he was warmly greeted by his fans and the gathered media, who also requested him for autographs. The generous actor obliged to their requests politely and also clicked selfies with them."

Madhavan says, "I am really overwhelmed and touched with all the love and affection that the people of Japan have showered upon me and my film Irudhi Suttru. I had never anticipated this."
