Tara Alisha Berry starts shooting for Gun Pe Done
- Anish Mohanty           Let us know what you think about this story

Tara Alisha Berry, who made her Hindi film debut with ‘Mastram’ earlier this year, has started shooting for her next film, titled Gun Pe Done. The film is a comic caper wherein the actress will be seen essaying the role of a struggling actress.

Ask her how did she bag the film and she says, “One of the assistant directors called me up for a meeting. When I reached there, the director saw me through a glass door. He immediately decided that I would be playing the female lead in the film. Till then, he had no idea that I had come to meet him. He had not even seen my earlier films and yet, he believed that I would be suitable for the role. I did not have to go through any audition.”

The film would see Tara paired with an actor like Jimmy Sheirgill who has more than 50 films to his credit. “Jimmy, apart from being one of the best actors in the country, is a wonderful human being. Working with him is turning out to be a great learning experience for me. He is an extremely supportive co-actor.”

The film boasts of a lot of new talent and Tara has no apprehensions towards working with relatively unknown names, “It’s a great phase where a lot of new talent is coming into the industry and leaving a mark. For me, the script is of paramount importance. I fell in love with the script after it was narrated to me and instantly said a ‘yes’. I was also excited with the idea of getting to work with a lot of seasoned actors and learning from them.”

After going de-glam with her role in Mastram, Tara is excited to play a role which will give her ample scope to bring her glamorous avatar to the fore. “This will be the first time I will be seen dancing in a film. I have already shot for a dance number. There is also a romantic song filmed on Jimmy and me. So, I will get to do all the things that a Hindi film heroine is associated with”, she says with a laugh.
