Shah Rukh Khan gives the muhurat clap for Vikram Phadnis' Hrudayantar

Fashion designer Vikram Phadnis is all set to produce and direct his debut Marathi film, Hrudayantar. Produced by Vikram Phadnis Productions, Young Berry Entertainment (Pratap Sarnaik and his son Purvesh Sarnaik), Hrudayantar is an emotional drama featuring popular Marathi actors including Subodh Bhave and Mukta Barve.

Vikram's good friend and well wisher Shah Rukh Khan graced the muhurat launch held at Olive (Mumbai) and gave the clap shot for the film while Arjun Kapoor broke the auspicious coconut. The superstar ensured that the event was one to remember, wishing good luck to the team of the emotional drama.

Besides Shah Rukh Khan, the impressive list of attendees include director duo Abbas Mustan, Vipul Shah, Sanjay Gupta, Sohail Khan, Athiya Shetty, Sanjay Kapoor, Ritesh Sidhwani, Sanjay Kapoor, Baba Siddiqui, Kiara Advani, Malaika Arora with sister Amrita Arora, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Shweta Bachchchan Nanda, Anu Deewan, among others.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan said, "First film is very important and it's like your first child. I know Vikram since a long time and I'm aware that he takes lot of efforts in his projects. I hope Vikram make movies in Hindi as well. All the best to the whole team of Hrudayantar. Have a great shoot and inshallah make a beautiful film!"

Producer-director Vikram Phadnis said, "Marathi cinema has come of age. I think there is a time and space for every kind of genre and films. I'm a Maharashtrian, I speak the language and I'm comfortable with the language. I think the story that I wanted to tell, I got great artists for the same including Mukta Barve and Subodh Bhave. When I found right characters, I think it was the right time to make it in Marathi. It's not that I don't want to make a film in Hindi. The sensibility of the kind of cinema I want to make, the story I want to tell and the right casting. I just thought it was the right time to make a Marathi film."

Producer Pratap Sarnaik said, "I'm fortunate to be associated with my friend Vikram's first film. I'm glad that his story will be showcased on the big screen. In Marathi film industry, we see films crossing Rs 100 crores and I amsure Hrudayantar will create a new record."

Producer Purvesh Sarnaik said, "We always wanted to associate ourselves with good cinema. Hrudayantar is an attempt to take Marathi cinema to another level. This story is about family and relationships and close to our hearts."

Director duo Abbas Mustan added, "Hrudayantar is Vikram's debut film and I hope he goes a long way. Congratulations and we wish the entire team super success."

Arjun Kapoor said, "I know Vikram since a long time. It's a dream come true for him. The Marathi film industry is expanding and I hope Vikram's film does wonders at the box office."

Produced by Vikram Phadnis Productions, Young Berry Entertainment (Pratap Sarnaik and his son Purvesh Sarnaik) and directed by Vikram, Hrudayantar goes on floors from 11th December, 2016!
