'Hope Aur Hum' is Rupert Fernandes' debut film as a composer. In an interview, Fernandes had stated that he has interpreted the songs and the background score with just one instrument, that is, the guitar. Though there are just three songs in the album, one looks forward to find out as to how he used guitar as the sole instrument in the three tracks. All the songs have been written by Saurabh Dikshit.

One is happy to see Suraj Jagan and Bhoomi Trivedi being credited as the singers for "Hope Aur Hum", the title track. While the former, despite being a competent vocalist is heard rarely in Hindi films these days, the latter has been leaving a strong mark with every singing opportunity ("Raam Chahe Leela" - 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Raam Leela', "Udi Udi Jaaye" -'Raees') she has been getting. Rupert uses bass guitar, electric guitar and a bit of acoustic guitar very nicely to create a strings-based background for the track. Unfortunately, that does not make this turn out to be a winning track as the tune leaves a lot to be desired.

Even though Sonu Nigam tries his best to salvage "Acche Bacche Rote Nahin" but he is saddled with a weak tune and forgettable lyrics. The acoustic guitar piece playing in the background leaves a soothing effect on the listener but just like the title track, the basic composition does not have the power to hold your attention for long.

Shaan is another addition to the list of good vocalists on the album and just like them he, too, gets to render a song that is absolutely forgettable. The guitar makes an appearance again in
