Surprise, Surprise! Another outstanding album by Rajesh Roshan! If you love slow peaceful songs with good singing, this is for you! This album includes nothing fancy, just simple Indian and American music.
"Ghar Se Nikalte Hi" rendered by Udit Naryan at his best is an excellent song with good lyrics. Rajesh Roshan's music is very simple and very good! A slow duet follows this song. Sung by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik (who else?) "Pyar Mein Hota Hai" is wonderful with the perfect lyrics and excellent singing. "Ye Jo Thode Se Hain Paise" is the low point in Javed Akhtar's lyrics of this album, but is still a worthy song. Kumar Sanu proves his singing talents again and Rajesh Roshan proves his talents as a musician again. The highlight of the album is definitely "Mujh Se Naaraz Ho To" which shows the talents of a forthcoming singer, Sonu Nigam. Nigam is excellent, this is the first time in his singing career that he actually sounds somewhat similar to the master of music, Mohd. Rafi. This song is similar to some of Rafi's old ghazals.
This album is worth a buy for music enthusiasts. From this album I see the following: Sonu Nigam has a good future in front of him, Rajesh Roshan has a long way to go in his film career, Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik are going to be the best pair for the next few years, and Udit Narayan's career is just starting.
