Anand-Milind have not been forking out hits of late, and Krodh, unfortunately, isn't about to change their downward spiral. With a cast of Sunil Shetty and Rambha and a director/producer Ashok Honda, one would hardly deem this movie a potential hit (what can I say? We are biased desis when it comes to cast...). A likely mediocre (if that) film would at least have good music as a saving grace, one would hope. But the album hardly does much more than add worthless songs of ridiculous lyrics and dull, repetitive music (not a good sign on the movie's end).

I could go in order of Side A and B but I think I'll try something different and go from the best song of the album to the worst (more being prevalent in the latter).

Mere Kangna is the only song of the film with Top 25 songs potential. Sung by Alka Yagnik and Abhijeet, the song is fairly catchy and the singing is good. The lyrics are simple and sweet as well as tolerable (a rarity for this album). But here, I must introduce the music as fairly boring, since, well, it sounds like the music directors got bored, hit the Jhankar beat button and took a long nap (throughout the ENTIRE music direction, that is). The downfall of this song is the uncanny similarity to Daler Mehndi's Sade Dil song. Catchy

Sun Baba Sun is sung by Sapna Mukherjee and Vinod Rathod. The song is trying to be way too American with ridiculous lyrics that include 'season' and 'reason', and babeeee (which is sort of irritating) ! The babeee refrain, we could have done without. It is one of the better songs of the album, with its beaty music to make up for the lyrics. Catchy but cheesy

Mamta Bhari is sung three times and well, if you are into the rona dhona sappy sort of Mamta Bhari songs, you'll definitely enjoy it. But frankly, this isn't the first, or second or third song, for that matter, that I would listen to if I had a choice. Fine

Hai Deewana and Janejana Janejana marks the downward spiral of the album, with its boring lyrics and equally exciting music (the latter being better than the former). What a waste of Sapna Mukherjee and Alka Yagnik's singing. At least the lyrics are in Hindi....! Tolerable

What To Do and Haan Ji Haan Ji tie for the two worst songs of the album. What To Do (Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan) sounds like a flash to the early 80's Jitendra-Amitabh era sort of music, with the Jhankar beats overly-emphasized. Haan Ji (Sadhana Sargam, Vinod Rathod) is a bad attempt at a parody and is not worth even a listen. Fast-forward

Overall, the album is not worth buying. If you've got a friend who actually invested a few bucks on the tape (and laugh in their faces if they bought the CD!), just listen to Mere Kangna. Aside from that, just listening to the songs in the movie is enough (if you decide to see the movie).
