There has been much said about the superstar combination of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai. The two are anything but strangers to one another, as they’ve starred opposite each other in several films, with several more on their way. Amongst the buzz was the ripe speculation that the two were in a relationship, and slated to get married.

However, we can finally confirm the news as Ash and Abhishek were engaged on January 14th at Aisharya’s residence. The news has been confirmed by none other than Amitabh Bachchan. The occasion was graced by many well-wishers from all parts of the Indian society. The couple are scheduled to marry in the near future.

It’s obvious they share a special chemistry on screen…we can only pray the same is shared in their wedded lives.
