Bhojpuri Film Upstages Both 'Zinda' And 'Family'

It may come as a surprise to many but it is a fact that a little known Bhojpuri film 'Dehati Babu' has upstaged both 'Zinda' and 'Family' in the initial few rounds . And yes , we are talking about Bombay city and not remote areas of Eastern U.P. or Bihar-Jharkhand !

Here are the raw facts . While 'Family-Ties Of Blood' , released in Maratha Mandir and 55 other cinemas of Bombay , had a dull opening . The other Hindi release , 'Zinda', released in Minerva , New Excelsior and 46 other cinemas of Bombay , had a so-so opening . On the other hand 'Dehati Babu' , released at Super and 10 other cinemas of Bombay , had a very good opening .

While the above two releases has big names names like Amitabh Bachchan , Sanjay Dutt , Akshay Kumar and John Abraham associated with it , 'Dehati Babu' has the reigning Bhojpuri singer-superstar Manoj Tiwari , who last year managed to earn well over 10 crores for a barely 20 lakh movie , 'Sasura Bada Paisawala' .

Trade predicts that while the future of 'Family-Ties Of Blood' is bleak , 'Zinda' may go through specially at the places it opened well . Trade is upbeat about 'Dehati Babu' and says that it is an entertaining fare which will keep all associated with it smiling .
