Nikhil Advani has used two songs of 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' in his 'Salaam-E-Ishq' . The two unused songs from 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' , which Nikhil had directed for Karan seemed to fit into 'Salaam-E-Ishq' and when Nikhil asked Karan whether he could take them , Karan magnanimously allowed him .

As is known the music of both 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' and ' Salaam-E-Ishq' has been scored by 'Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy' .
