Indian Cinema Breaks New Grounds With 'Being Cyrus'

'Being Cyrus', Saif Ali Khan's first all English movie seems to have done more than just mark his foray into a completely new language . The movie might not have got rave reviews , but it did manage to attaract considerable crowds over the weekend .

The highest ever grosser on a weekend in terms of an Indian English release , the movie has seen over two lakh people coming to watch it . While it might not have had much competetion in that field , it has certainly led the pack .

Distributed by PVR Cinemas , the movie grossed more than Rs. 2 crores all over India in just three days - Friday , Saturday and Sunday .

Of the total money , PVR Cinemas (now spread across India) , has contributed 25 percent of the all-India share .

A film for a niche audience , the language of 'Being Cyrus' is not the only reason for its non mainsteam appeal and widespread release . A psychological thriller , the film focuses on the darker side of the human nature .
