Days after SRK's wax statue was unveiled at Madame Tussauds by the original, people are still talking about it . The reception and the media attention accorded to the wax double were no less than what the actor's movie would have commanded on the opening day screening .

A lot of British Asians visit Madame Tussauds year in, year out : not to mention Indian and Pakistani visitors . SRK's name kept on coming up in the exit polls about who was to be added .

At the same time, Madame Tussauds was well aware of just how big a name Khan was , a star of more than 50 films , an actor with a global audience of over 2 billion .

Ben Lovett, PR manager, Madame Tussauds , when asked about equally famous counterparts in the industry , says " The only name that kept coming up in the exit polls time and again was Shah Rukh Khan."
