'Fanaa' Fails To Beat 'Rang De Basanti' First Week In Bombay

Unlike what is being perceived by the general public and publicised by Yash Raj , their Aamir-Kajol starrer 'Fanaa' , fails to beat the first week total of Aamir's last release 'Rang De Basanti' (UTV) in Bombay city , despite more prints .

While , 'Rang De Basanti' collected 3,59,76,989 (Nett) from 37 cinemas , 'Fanaa' collected 3,48,28,609(Nett) from 43 cinemas .

'Fanaa' also collected a record 2,49,21,583(Nett) from 20 cinemas in Delhi city . The total first week collections from Delhi-U.P. are 5,08,85,000 (Nett) with a distributor's share of about 3.35 crores .

However , with 14,21,50,954(Nett) from 185 reported cinemas , the movie sets a new first week record collecting about 21 crores(Nett) from India . And this without a single print in Gujarat .
