'Sarkar' - Varma Goes For A High Number Of Prints !

Ram Gopal Varma , whose films in the last few years have normally released with about 200 prints on an average , has this time around gone for quite a high number of prints numbering between 310 to 320 , to cash in on the Bachchan magic . And given the good to excellent weekend( that 'Sarkar' has obtained) , the strategy seems to have worked .

The highest number of 110 prints are in Bombay ( 42 in Bombay and Thane) followed by 48 in Delhi-U.P . (11 in Delhi city ) , while Hyderabad-Nizam has 17 prints (13 in Hyderabad) , West Bengal has about 40 prints ( 23 are in Calcutta). The whole Central India belt has about 47 to 50 prints with 14 in Rajasthan , 20 in C.P. Berar and 12 in C.I. and in the South , Bangalore city has the maximum 11 prints and Chennai has 4 . Coming To East Punjab the prints are just 19 ( Chandigarh , Ludhiana and Gurgaon having 2 prints each) .

Bihar-Jharkhand sees 'Sarkar' releasing with just about 15 prints (Patna has two at Regent and Vaishali while Muzaffarpur has 3 at Jawahar,Amar and Prabhat). The local exhibitors are preferring the Bhojpuri releases which have been doing roaring business .

The remaining 20 to 25 prints are spread across South and Eastern Province .
