Not many will be aware of the reason as to why Preity (one of the top Bollywood actress) has had only one release('Salaam Namaste') in the last couple of years . The August 11 release 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna' , where she is paired opposite Shah Rukh Khan will only be her second release during this period .

According to sources , the tsunami that hit most parts of South-East Asia( 2004) has had a deep impact on her . She was present at a coastal region and saw the devastation from close quarters and as a result she did not shoot for any film for almost a year (after 'Salaam Namaste').

She has now decided to to pen down her fears/experiences of the natural calamity , as she has still not been able to forget the nightmare .
