King Khan has termed the inhuman and deploreable 7/11 Bombay blasts as an act of cowardice . Addressing a press conference after the 3-day (14th to 16th July) Bollywood centered event(BAFTA Goes Bollywood ) at the British Academy Television Craft Awards in London , the actor asserted that "violence" and " violent thoughts" should be removed from the society . He termed terrorism as an " international problem" . He added that people should be made aware and violence should be eradicated from the society .

He thanked the NRI's and said that it is because of them that Bollywood has become so popular in the West .

Producer-director Karan Johar asserted that the serial blasts was an act of terrorism and asked the people and the government to face it together .

Veteran filmmmaker Yash Chopra who accompanied SRK to the BAFTA , said that there is no place for communalism in Bollywood and that it is an example of communal harmony . Putting down criticism about " too many songs in Bollywood films " , he said that that songs were an integral part of Hindi cinema and that he was proud of the fact .
