If you thought, Rajkumar Santoshi is not serious about making a film on the 'Ramayana', think again. The maverick film-maker intermittently announces his grandiose plans to translate the epic into film form but no such film has been announced even some years after he first made public his intension. That does not mean there is no activity on the front. Actually, there is!

Just recently,Santoshi flew to the USA to negotiate with crew members. Which means, he is keen to bring 'Ram' and 'Sita' and many other characters of the 'Ramayana' alive on screen.

As is common knowledge, Rajkumar Santoshi has decided to cast Ajay Devgan and Kajol in the lead roles.
