Xclusive- Rakesh Roshan Was The First To Predict Shah Rukh's Superstardom
- Abid           Let us know what you think about this story

One of the first persons to predict that Shah Rukh Khan would be a superstar was Hrithik Roshan's father, producer-director Rakesh Roshan.

Even while Shah Rukh's first film with Roshan, 'King Uncle', was being made, the filmmaker had said that the actor would soon be a superstar.

However, one of the first industry persons to repose faith in the then future superstar was financier and diamond merchant, Bharat Shah. This was when Shah Rukh wanted to buy the bunglow in which he currently resides at Bandstand in Bombay. That bunglow belonged to Bharatbhai and its market price was 13 crore. But Shah Rukh had only 35 lakhs to pay the financier. He promised to pay the instalments spread over 3-4 years. Not only did Bharatbhai agree to Shah Rukh's request for instalment payments but he also handed over the keys of the bunglow to him after recieving the signing amount from him.

It is not for nothing that Bharatbhai is a leading diamond merchant. The 'parkhi' (evaluater) in him had recognised the potential of the star in Shah Rukh Khan!
