In an emotional letter to her father, Sanjay Dutt, minutes before he appeared for the final verdict in the TADA court, Trishala assured him that she will always be with him, whatever be the circumstances.

She writes, "You have suffered enough, and that too silently. I am praying very hard for you and I am positive that God will answer my prayer, and that you will be set free soon."

Trishala further added that people, specially women had used him a lot as he was (and is!) very simple and innocent. She resolved that in future, she would be the only woman in Dutt's life, as he doesn't need selfish women.

She has also expressed her desire to celeberate her 19th birthday, with her father, which falls on the 10th of August.
