Merchandising is a new concept that is slowly catching up in Bollywood . We already know that Karan Johar's upcoming blockbuster 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna' is also going for the same in a big way . Apparently , Karan plans to sell the merchandise related to the film through all the multiplexes and single screens which screen 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna' .

While on the subject , Yash Chopra has earned upwards of Rs. 20 lakhs by selling the merchandise of 'Fanaa' , though the main item was just one - the 'mirchi' locket worn by Aamir Khan.

Even Sanjeev Agarwal of Pantaloon marketed the merchandise of 'Krrish' as an experiment but it is not yet certain if it has worked .
