The positive buzz and the support for the film within the industry has been rather overwhelming; but the big question – will it get audience acceptance as well ?.
“The title ‘FINDING FANNY’ is adding up to Number 47 – this octave of Number 2 (Moon) is a very unlucky number. It denotes uncertainties and treachery of others. It also foreshadows trials and tribulation, unexpected dangers, unreliable friends and deception caused by members of the opposite sex. It gives grave warning if it comes out in anything concerning future events” explains Bhavikk. “As per the numerological meaning derived, it seems the film will only appeal to its target audience (especially youth) who frequent high-end multiplexes of metros/big cities and that’s about it” predicts Bhavikk. “Also, the year 2014 which adds up to Number 7 (Ketu) is proving lucky for most Number 1, 2, 4 and 7 people and in this case; of the ensemble cast just Naseeruddin Shah (20th July 1950) and Pankaj Kapur (29th May 1954) fall under this bracket. No prizes for guessing both the actors will deliver outstanding performances; but again having said that, they aren’t exactly what you call ‘crowd-pullers’ in the conventional term” he adds. “As for Arjun Kapoor (26th June 1985), Deepika Padukone (5th January 1986) and Dimple Kapadia (8th June 1957); even they will be doing an earnest job and will be appreciated for daring to try out something radically different and completely out of their comfort zone” he adds further. “Last but not the least, it will be praises galore as well as critical acclaim for director Homi Adajania; but this time he may not be able to blend the right ‘cocktail’ (pun unintended) of mixing art with commerce” signs off Bhavikk on a clear note.
