Its a strange coincidence indeed! Pradeep Sarkar had first approached Vidya Balan to play Rani Mukerji's younger sister in 'Laaga Chunari Mein Daag', but Vidya declined the offer as she didn't want to play second fiddle to Rani.

That Pradeep Sarkar had given Vidya a break in the films and that he had cast her in several ad films, didn't affect the actress in her decision-making. Anyway , in Vidya Balan's place came Konkona Sen Sharma.

The coincidental part is that both the films, 'Laaga Chunari Mein Daag' and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa', released on the same day. And with 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' crushing 'Laaga Chunari Mein Daag', on way to global success, Vidya must be smiling from ear to ear and saying, 'Meri thi right choice baby'!
