The promos have already created a strong buzz within and outside the industry, but the big question is – will director Abhishek Sharma be able to do justice to the original and make it an entertaining motion picture ?.

Our in-house expert and ace astro-numerologist Bhavikk Sangghvi predicts the fate of this Ashvin Varde and Akshay Kumar joint venture:

“The title ‘THE SHUKEENS’ is adding up to Number 49 – this octave of Number 4 (Rahu) is not a fortunate number from a worldly or material standpoint. It is self-contained, lonely and isolated” explains Bhavikk.

“As per the numerological meaning derived and going by the film’s basic premise, it seems the film will surely appeal to its target audience (mainly youth) who frequent multiplexes of metros/big cities etc.” predicts Bhavikk.

“Plus, fortunately or so, the year 2014 which adds up to Number 7 (Ketu) is likely to prove lucky for most Number 1, 2, 4 and 7 people, places, dates, names etc. and the film’s title vibration (49) along with the its release date – 7th November 2014 (Number 7 – Ketu) will only prove beneficial in this case” he adds.

“More importantly, the three main protagonists (or should I say ‘lecherous men’) of the film namely Anupam Kher (7th March 1955), Annu Kapoor (20th February 1956) and Piyush Mishra (13th January 1963) all fall in to this bracket directly; which means that they will be able to carry the film’s burden on their experienced shoulders with much ease and comfort”.

“Also, the destiny number arrived from their muse Lisa Haydon’s (17th June 1986) date of birth (Number 2 – Moon) indicates that her performance will also be appreciated a lot despite the presence of such stalwarts” he adds further.

“Last but not the least; Akshay Kumar’s (9th September 1967) ‘stars’ (read luck) are in top form and hence the film will do brisk business at the box office; whereas his cameo appearance will also be loved by one and all” signs off Bhavikk on a positive note.
