We have heard about many aspects of 'Taare Zameen Par' but here is what Aamir has to say about the movie :-

Filmmaking is never easy and each film has its own journey. The journey of ‘Taare Zameen Par’ began with Amol Gupte. Having spent 7-years in close contact with children, Amol had a story to tell.

Along with his wife Deepa Bhatia, also the editor of the film, Amol researched heavily in developing a sensitive portrayal of a child’s world. In this process of development Deepa and Amol were helped and supported by countless teachers, parents and children.

I came into the picture maybe around three years ago when Amol entrusted me with the job of producing the film. As talented as he is, Amol put his faith in me, helped me, and stood by me during the making of the film. While Amol has written what I think is a brilliant and moving script, his contribution towards the film extends to other avenues.

Almost every member of the cast and crew of this film has been a part of ‘Taare Zameen Par’, due to the emotion of having been moved by the script and wanting to be a part of the telling of this very important story. All of us together have made a film that has enhanced our sensitivity towards children and we hope the same for everyone who sees it.
