Walt Disney’s First Hindi Language DVD Release Coming Out Soon

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment is coming out with its first Hindi language DVD release, and the film is none other than Aamir Khan’s Like Stars on Earth (Taare Zameen Par). The DVD releases on January 12.

Although the film had a worldwide theatrical release in 2007 and most Indians and NRIs have already seen this touching film written by Amole Gupte about a substitute art teacher who helps an eight year old dyslexic boy find himself, one can’t deny the DVD release of Taare Zameen Par by Walt Disney will definitely help the film reach out to a non-Indian audience, something most Bollywood films have failed to do.

The three disk DVD/CD set comes with a DVD of the film, a DVD including special features such as the making of the film, deleted scenes, commentary from Aamir Khan, an audio CD of the film’s seven songs, and two postcards. Definitely worth adding to one's personal DVD library!
