A wide array of feature-length films, short films and documentaries are being screened at the first Pravasi Film Festival in New Delhi, which began on January 3rd and concludes on January 6th. The film festival has been put together by Pravasi Today (a NRI magazine) and the Republic of Mauritius. Films being showcased at the Pravasi Film Festival include, Kabir Khan’s New York, Kunal Roy Kapur’s President is Coming, Navdeep Kandola’s Flying Sikhs, Krishna DK and Raj Nidimoru’s 99, Flavours and Shor, Pankaj Shukla’s Azizan Mastaani and Bahurupiya, Dr. Nikhil Kaushik’s Bhavishya The Future, Manan Singh Katohora’s Extrospection and When Kiran Met Karen , Nasreen Munni Kabir’s Bismillah of Benares and , Patricia Mohammad’s Coolie Pink and Green, Shundell Prasad’s Once More Removed, Sangeeta Datta’s Life Goes On, Anish Babu Verghese’s Chandranile Chayakada, Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding and The Namesake, Ben Rekhi’s Waterborne, Bala Rajsekharuni’s Blind Ambition, Manmohan Singh’s Asa Nu Maan Watna Da, and Anirudhho Sanyal’s A Bristol Pilgrimage : In Search of Rajah RamMohun Roy.
