As per India's leading trade journal, Film Information, the Christmas release, Rajkumar Hirani's '3 Idiots' has earned a profit of more than 60 crores.

However, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra would have to share the same with Aamir Khan, who is a partner in the profits.

In fact, that is precisely the reason why Aamir Khan has charged a much lower fee for working in '3 Idiots', than what he could have got.
