At a function in a suburban hotel in Bombay yesterday (Wednesday) evening, Maharani Padmini of Jaipur chose to express her opinion on Ashutosh Gowarikar's upcoming 'Jodhaa Akbar', which depicts the love life of Mughal emperor Akbar and his wife, the Rajput princess Jodha Bai.

"I have watched parts of the film and I can say that Gowarikar has presented the Rajput viewpoint regarding their links with the Mughals without any distortion," the Maharani said.

Rani Padmini, who had specially flown in to Bombay for the music launch of 'Jodhaa Akbar', was accompanied by a host of her royal relatives.

As may be recalled, the lavishly mounted 'Jodhaa Akbar', touted as one of the most expensive Hindi movies, has reportedly been made at a cost 45-crore and is slated for a global release on 15th February 2008.
