Kamini Kaushal Still Going Strong At 80 !

When asked if things had changed, she retorted, “Of course when my father went to Cambridge, we did not hear from him for months. Now my son in London communicates with me constantly. That’s change for you.”

Kaushal, who has numerous films to her credit, continues to act in the TV serials. She talks about the earlier days with nostalgia but insists one has to adapt. “Technically Indian cinema is going places but I feel the content has suffered. I’m sure youngsters feel differently.”

Kaushal is content with her life. “I really did not enter cinema to make money. Acting was my passion so I could leave when I wanted and come back when I felt I was ready to do that.”

And she agrees she has had a long innings. “Most of my colleagues are gone but people like Dev Anand and Manoj Kumar are still there,” said Kaushal
