With the stupendous success of '3 Idiots', Aamir Khan is again the toast of Bollywood. In a recent interview, Khan said that, at heart, he was still an 18-year-old and that he did not “take stardom seriously. I am happy people like my work but I do not have star trappings. I’m curious about people and their lives. It is tricky being a star; if one is given too much importance, one really starts believing in it.”

Aamir added that one of the biggest problems was being the centre of attraction. “Even at the airport, I want to queue up as normal people do and usually end up averting my eyes because the minute I look at someone I have to start communicating.”

He clarified that he did not manipulate the media. “ I do not ask people to write about my film before the release. But before a film I am so involved in it that it takes up my whole time and thought so it is only natural that I talk more about that project.”
