New Delhi, Jan 22 (PTI) Actor Irrfan Khan, who plays a police inspector in "Slumdog Millionaire", feels the 10 Oscar nominations the film earned were a like a lottery and exudes confidence in A R Rahman in notching a coveted Academy award. "I am elated. It is unbelievable. I don't know how to react. It is like we have won a lottery," an elated Irrfan told PTI over phone.

"It's going to be our year at the Oscars. People abroad are going to sing 'Jai ho, jai ho' and I am sure Rahman will win an Oscar for India," Irrfan says about Rahman's triple nominations.

Rahman was nominated for Best Original Score and the numbers 'Jai Ho' and 'O Saya' were shortlisted for the Best Original Song.

"I was quite sure about his nominations. It is incredible. Rahman's music with its innovative style and simplicity is heart touching. It is completely new for the Western audiences," says Irrfan.
