London, Jan 24 (PTI) John Travolta's "family friend," Obie Wilchcombe, was arrested for an unexplained connection to a money extortion plot surrounding the recent death of his son Jett Travolta. The perverse plot was reportedly operated by lawmaker Pleasant Bridgewater and hospital employee Tarino Lightbourne, who took a photograph of 16-year-old Jett Travolta as he was dying in the Travoltas' Bahamas home. The two have also been detained by the police, the Contactmusic reported.

Strangely, Wilchcombe, previously Minister of Tourism for Bahamas, had earlier told local media that he considered the extortion plot "a despicable act."
