Ruslaan Mumtaz, the good looking son of character artist, Anjana Mumtaz , who made his debut with Percept Pictures Company’s teen age romance, mp3-'Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar' is paying the price for being too good looking! Shocked? Yes, but that is precisely the reason why Ruslaan Mumtaz who was the original choice to play the lead role of Jamal Malik in 'Slumdog Millionaire' was dropped from the film. Apparently, the producer of the film found Ruslaan too good looking for the role and so he was replaced by Dev Patel. Naturally, Ruslaan is upset, especially because he lost out on a chance to work with a reputed international director like Danny Boyle and established actors like Anil Kapoor and Irrfan Khan. And now that the film is receiving huge critical and commercial success , as well as winning so many international awards, we are sure that Ruslaan would be ruining his good looks. If Ruslaan would have been a part of the film, it would have given him tremendous exposure, a thing that he is lacking. However, Ruslaan is not too worried and has pinned his hopes on his forthcoming projects like Satish Kaushik’s 'Tere Sang' and Milap Zaveri’s, 'Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai'.
