London, Feb 13 (PTI) Australian actress Nicole Kidman and her musician husband Keith Urban have donated USD 500,000 to the Red Cross in an effort to help the victims of bushfires. The other Hollywood stars that have come forward to help through a telethon are Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Naomi Watts, Rachel Griffiths and Simon Baker, the Contactmusic reported.

The raging inferno has killed more than 181 people and more than 2,000 homes have been destroyed.

The couple appeared via satellite link during an Australian telethon to raise money for the country's Red Cross.

"Our hearts go out tonight to all the families that are dealing with the loss of loved ones and having to rebuild their lives again," Kidman said.
