London, Feb 17 (PTI) Pixie Geldof the younger sister of aspiring singer Peaches Geldof said she knew her elder sister's marriage to singer Max Drummey would not last long. The 18-year-old model and daughter of singer Bob Geldof said she always knew that Peaches' wedding following a whirlwind romance with her former musician husband would surely fail.

"The split is what it is. Everyone knew it was never going to be a lifelong thing. She'll (Peaches) bounce back, she's fine now," Pixie told Closer magazine.

Earlier this month, 19-year-old Peaches and her 24-year-old husband confirmed they are divorcing just six months after they eloped to Las Vegas.

A statement issued on behalf of the couple said, "After much soul-searching we have made the mutual decision to end our marriage and have agreed to go our separate ways."
