The Malaysian censors had initially cleared the film which was shown for a day and then withdrawn, following orders from the Home Ministry.

The buzz is that the film was withdrawn in Malaysia as the Tamil Nadu government banned the film a day before its release.

Now that the ban on the movie has been lifted, it will be released immediately in Malaysia, the biggest market for Tamil films in the world.
