A local Indore court has stayed an arrest warrant issued by it on February 20, against Bollywood producer-director-actor, Aamir Khan, in a case relating to allegedly dishonouring the National flag.

Aamir's counsel, Pankaj Bagdiya, submitted, to the Judicial Magistrate, Fayyaz Khan, a Madhya Pradesh High Court Indore bench order, allowing the actor reprieve from appearing in person.

As may be recalled, Judicial Magistrate, V S Mubel had issued a warrant in October 2007. At that time Khan's lawyers had obtained the reprieve from the High Court. The actor has secured anticipatory bail. March 25 has been set as the next date for hearing.

Khan attended a programme in Indore, on August 16 2007, for publicising a Toyota vehicle. Mr Shailendra Sharma complained in court against the actor, the vehicle's distributor, programme organisers Rakesh and Ashok Rajpal, alleging that the tricolour was dishonoured during the programme. A first information report was registered against the Rajpal brothers.
