Deepak Tijori holds press conference on success of Miss India Worldwide Pageant

Tijori Entertainment and Kaleidovision in collaboration with HT City, held a press conference at JW Marriott, on Thursday night, to showcase the first Annual Miss India Worldwide Pageant. The seventeenth Annual Miss India Worldwide Pageant saw, Shagun Sarabhai (India), a 20 year old student of medicine crowned with the 2008 "Miss India Worldwide" title on February 23 in South Africa. For the first time ever, Shagun Sarabhai received eight and a half minute Standing Ovation from the foreign dignitaries, Indian Consul General and her peers.

The presenter of the event, Siddharth Kannan, a popular TV host kept the audience in splits with his unmatched sense of humor. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Deepak Tijori of Tijori Entertainment said, "It is not restricted by banalities like physical shortcomings, therefore the absence of height criteria and swim suit rounds makes it different from the conventional pageants". He also expressed his gratitude to the trainers and consultants of the event.

In between the quick impromptu speeches the talent & the short listing of the twenty young girls from all corners of India was screened on the AV to pep up the evening with some rhythm.

The second and the third runner up Pooja Kanwal and Divya Parmeshwaran looked extremely confident and happily obliged the shutterbugs. The jewel in the crown Shagun Sarabhai said, "I feel very honoured to represent India globally".

It goes without saying that for these young ladies path to Bollywood if they so desire is all but paved as the peagent is co-presented by Mr. Deepak Tijori's company.
