Earlier this year, Priyanka Chopra announced opening a new production house called Purple Pebble Pictures. The actress-producer's first Punjabi venture will feature Punjabi superstar Amrinder Gill.

Amrinder Gill, whose last film Angrej was a huge blockbuster in the north, is on a high with his current project Love Punjab trending over social media.

Produced by Dr. Madhu Chopra, the Punjabi film will be directed by Karaan Guliani with the screenplay and dialogues by Ambardeep Singh .

Priyanka Chopra who is all set to dazzle at the Oscars, took to a popular microblogging site to make the announcement. She tweeted, "Congratulations Purple Pebble on starting our 1st Punjabi feature film starring Amrinder Gill".

To be shot in Punjab and Canada, the film is scheduled to release November 2016.

The Punjabi film is the third Purple Pebble Production feature film that has gone on the floors and all three films are scheduled to release in 2016
